Peter Shope wins the Pete Milnes Regatta

Congratulations to Peter Shope for proving that even the big guys can crush in 4-8 knots!

A note from Fleet 413:
Though the weather wasn't as good as it could've been, we still had a solid turnout for the annual Pete Milnes Regatta. A big thanks to the Milnes family for providing the shore-side organization and the spread at the AC and to our crack RC team: Moose McClintock, Betsy McClintock, Dave Moffet, Collin Moffet and Christine Roberts. Seven races in some fairly dicey wind conditions proved how hard they were working to get us racing. We even had a surprise from Bruce Kirby, who happened by the boat park as we were hauling out and then brought his wife Margo by the AC afterward for the party. If you don't know who he is, then get cracking on Google and then feel shame!

Peter Shope won the day, though it wasn't easy. He averaged a robust 5.6 points per finish. Andy Pimintal was second and Scott Milnes, third.
