Five hardy sailors braved the pouring rain and cool temperatures to compete in the annual Mascoma Spring Laser regatta on Sunday. Fortunately the rain eventually abated and the 5-10 knot southeasterly held up nicely, allowing the race committee to run seven races with a variety of courses – yes there were even some reaching legs for a change! Competition was tight at the front with Dave Frazier and Christine Neville duking it out; each won three races, but in the end Christine prevailed by two points.
