2024 Regatta Schedule
Welcome to 2024 ILCA season! The developing schedule is posted on the D7 website and at the bottom of this newsletter. Here are the latest calendar updates:- The D7 Gran Prix events are filling in. Here is what we know by order of appearance: RI will be represented by the Wickford Regatta June 8-9. ME will be represented by the True Blue Spencer Evans Regatta, July 13-14 at the Kollegewidgwok YC in Blue Hill. VT will be represented by Malletts Boat Club in Colchester on August 17-18. MA will be represented by Stone Horse YC on the Cape. Stone Horse is hosting the D7 championship August 10-11. We have a possible NH regatta on Lake Sunapee, more on that later. This just leaves CT. Hey Connecticut fleets, who will step up to host a D7 Grand Prix event? You just need to nominate a new or existing regatta, and we'll do all the scoring for the Grand Prix. One or two days is fine. - September 20-22, Eastern YC in Marblehead will host the US Masters. Show up with your boat and a bottle of Aleve for a weekend of competitive sailing off the mouth of Marblehead Harbor and lots of socializing on shore. Plus a pre-regatta clinic with the International Sailing Academy. Our goal is 100 boats on the line! Registration is open. Oh yeah, we have housing, but it won't last forever. The early bird gets the free bed!

District News
Welcome Sachem's Head Yacht Club, Fleet 179
Fleet captains Shane Walden and Jake Lundberg reached out from Gilford, CT and asked to be listed on our fleet page. Fleet 179 has been active since the 1970's and races on Saturday mornings during the summer season. The fleet has about 23 members. Guest are welcome. Contact the captains for more information.

This winter, it feels like every Sunday brings spicy conditions, but that has not stopped our fleets from getting out for fresh air and cold toes.
